Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end logistics operations including transportation planning, freight management, and shipping & receiving activities
Oversee warehouse distribution, inventory control, and materials handling to ensure accurate stock levels and efficient storage solutions
Utilize supply chain management systems such as ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning), AS400, and Warehouse Management System (WMS) to track shipments, inventory, and procurement data
Conduct root cause analysis to identify bottlenecks or issues in logistics processes and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Negotiate with vendors, 3PL providers (Third-Party Logistics), and suppliers to secure optimal pricing, contracts, and service levels
Coordinate with production planning and demand planning teams to align inventory levels with forecasted needs using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) tools
Analyze logistics data using Tableau, SQL, and supply chain analytics to identify trends, improve forecasting accuracy, and enhance overall supply chain efficiency
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles including procurement, sourcing, vendor management, and category management
Proficiency with transportation management systems (TMS), ERP systems (such as SAP or Oracle), and warehouse management systems (WMS)
Excellent data analysis skills with experience in Tableau, SQL, and supply chain analytics tools
Hands-on warehouse experience with materials handling equipment such as forklifts; mechanical knowledge is a plus
Effective negotiation skills for contracts, freight rates, and vendor agreements
Ability to perform root cause analysis and lead process improvement initiatives within logistics operations
Familiarity with shipping & receiving procedures, NVOCC (Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier), dispatching, and freight forwarding practices
Strong organizational skills in inventory management, demand planning, production planning, and order fulfillment processes
Knowledge of transportation planning including routing optimization and transportation management systems (TMS)
Experience working with e-commerce platforms for order processing and supply chain integration
